Stag Night Activities: The Last Night of Freedom!Most single men and their friends really want to let their hair down and have a memorable time on their stag night. Traditionally, this is referred to as their last night of freedom; after dating the woman who the host has decided to marry. However, it is often more sensible to hold the stag night a week or so before; to allow for any hangovers or repercussions of a particularly boisterous night to settle! Most stag nights consist of a group of mates having a few drinks in a local bar, before moving on to a nightclub to dance the night away. This is then - if the future groom is very lucky - followed by a takeaway an a taxi home to bed. By today’s standards, however, this night would be considered as quite low key and boring. There are now a vast array of stag night activities to be endured by the prospective groom. The most common activities for a stag night include such entertainment as hiring a stripper; the soon to be groom would often be expected to be a participant in this show. The more boisterous group might also find it hilarious to keep this high jinks going by stripping the poor man and tying him to the nearest lamp post or railings. Here he may stay for a few hours or until the morning, weather permitting! These activities only prove that it is more prudent to hold the stag night some time before the big day. |
